THE POWER TO GIVE

           Giving is a central teaching in Christianity; in fact, in all other ethical religions. But selfishness is also a major theme in biblical stories. It is a strong reality in human nature to the point that many consider it as the norm. Nagkakaroon ng pagtutunggali yung pagiging palabigay at palakabig. How would normal or selfishness-prone individuals overcome such weakness and be empowered to give and become givers as God wants them to be? Paano ba tayo magiging palabigay sa kabila ng ating pagiging makasarili? Saan kukuha ng kapangyarihan at lakas na labanan ang naging likas na pagiging makasarili upang masunod yung banal na kalooban ng Dios?
 
THE POWER TO FORGIVE

           Forgiving is in the heart of Christian doctrine. But anger, hatred, and desire for vengeance are also recurrent themes of biblical stories to the point that they have become the “norm” of the fallen human nature. Parang naging mas natural na magalit, magkimkim ng sama ng loob, at magtanim ng poot kung minsan. How could these so-called “normal” or selfishness-prone individuals overcome such weaknesses and be powerful enough to forgive? Paano ba nagkakaroon ng kapangyarihan para makapagpatawad? Anu-ano nga ba ang mga pangunahing dahilan para tayo ay magpatawad?
